"We (Agecroft) took delivery of our Technique System in Feb 07 and have used it extensively on our Thames Cup viii. Much of the information that the system gives (angles, tap down, movement, hand circles) are things that coaches have monitored by eye in the past. This new system has allowed us indisputable data which helps the athlete make minor tweaks to technique which gives a measurable increase in boat speed. We would not hesitate to recommend this system to other crews. The more we have used it, the more it has helped us. Particularly, the super imposed hand circle graph is an excellent tool. So too are the latest tweaks to the software."

"I think this is a superb system.   It takes a bit of time to work our what it is telling you and how best to use that information without confusing/boring the rowers, but if you’re OK with that, it’s extremely useful.   I had it for 1/3 of last season and by the end I honestly think I was only just beginning to learn how to get the best out of it.   The biggest thing I learnt is that we were rowing short – despite the fact that I had rigged catch and finish straws up and people looked like they were rowing to those straws.   How else would I have known that?   Next season I will change this by putting the screen in front of different rowers all season and giving them a target length.   I will do the same with hands-away speeds, and so on.   My feeling is that if I can use it right this system will add lengths to our speed."
